For years, neighbours Amy and Sandi passed business ideas back and forth. Concepts were discussed over coffees, diapers and play dates, but none of them seemed right. Then one day, Sandi proposed the idea of The Grandparent’s Guide. After years of concepts that just were not right, they immediately knew they were on to something. Grandparents of today were younger, hipper and internet savvy. Grandparents needed a website of their own.
The Grandparents Guide is designed to help grandparents connect and learn with and through their grandchildren.
Our goal is to answer your questions about grand parenting, to inform you on where to find events, activities and have questions answered about the Wonderful World of Grandparents. We are a guide to help guide you on this fabulous journey. There will be activities, insight, recipes, crafts and much more for you to do with your grandchildren. The Grandparents Guide focuses on grandparents to be, being the grandparent of a baby to all stages in between up to teens and a section for Zoomers and Boomers too! Our goal is to make this time together special for everyone.
AMY’S BIO
Amy is a former teacher turned stay-at-home mom. She has three beautiful children and a wonderful husband. Amy has cherished memories of her four grandparents, who were an integral part of her childhood. Her husband’s parents are divorced and remarried, therefore her children have the great fortune of six very involved grandparents. Amy is proud of the fact that she has a strong & healthy relationship with all of them.
In addition to raising her children, Amy is well-known for her creative and exciting mom and tot programs. She is the owner and director of CircleTime Backyard Camp.
Amy is incredibly passionate about giving back to her community through her volunteer efforts. She has been able to combine her love of children, education and giving back as a team leader for Project Give Back. Project Give Back is a passion based program designed for elementary students to develop empathy, build character,
and ignite community minded citizens.
She is incredibly excited about The Grandparent’s Guide.

SANDI’S BIO
Sandi is thrilled to be co-launching this website to help grandparents, parents and their grandchildren make the most of their time together and to build memories through these special times. Sandi was the founder of CineBabies, a nationally run theatre experience for parents to bring their babies to the movies with them. CineBabies was built to encourage parents with babies to leave the house, meet others with young babies and enjoy a social outing. Sandi was also the “CookieMama”, baking Nut Free treats like cookies and cupcakes for birthday parties and play dates for anyone with allergies. Most recently, Sandi was a Regional Manager for Gold Party Toronto, and was able to establish the company presence in Ontario.
In June 2010, Sandi lost 2 of her grandparents within a week of each other. This experience made her realize the impact that grandparents can have in your life and how important it is for grandparents and grandchildren to create life long memories together.
With the support of her wonderful husband and three fantastic children, Sandi is extremely excited to launch this new venture.
